A RESOLUTION EXPRESSLY LIMITING EXPANSION OR EXTENSION OF THE :'+ATER AN"
SEWER SYSTEMS TO AREAS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF TEE CITY OF JACK-
SOW /TILE, ARKA11 1S, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
NOS! THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Jackson-
ville, Arkansas
1. THAT further expansion of the City Water and Sewer Systems and /or further ex-
tension of gat. er and sewer service therefrom, shall be limited strictly to areas
lying wholly within the corporate limits of the City of Jacksonville, and
2. THAT all such expansions or extensions of service shall be subject to the
approval of the Jacksonville 'later & Sewer Committee, and following approval a,d
acceptance by the Committee, such expansions or extensions shall be certified
to free of lien or encumbrance and shall he dedicated by the owner- builder to
the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, to become a part of the City owned water and
sewer facilities, and
3. THeT the entire cost of such expansion or extension of the water and sewer system,
into an area not served with eater and sewer service as of the d ate of passage of
this resolution, shall be borne by the parties interested in obtaining such service;
it being understood that "entire cost" means the total cost of all Trains, lateral
lines, necessary appurtenance such as fire plugs, valves, and etc., including
installation posts and including service lines for both sewer and water brought to
the property line or lot lines as set forth in an acceptable manner in an approved
drawing or layout or the expansion or extension, and
L. THAT nothing in this resolution is intended to abrogate any contract covering
any existing extension of water or sewer service outside the corporate limr_ts
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, at the ti -e of passage of this resolution,
but it is understood that it is the intent of this resolution to limit further
extens'_cr, of any such existing, out -of- the -city lines, to no further than 75'
from any such main or line existing at the time of passage of this resolution.
