A RESOLUTION IN SUPPOR T OFAND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
SALE DOCUMENTS BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE FOR CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY DESCRIBED HEREIN (GENERAL LOCATION - 132
GALL0WA Y); AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the real property described on the attached Exhibit A is property owned
by Mary Joyce Mathis; and,
WHEREAS, because said property is adjacent to Galloway Park and it is in the City's
interest to extend the size of Galloway Park, certain City officials must be authorized to
execute the appropriate and required documents for the purchase of City -owned property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OFJACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE; The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, are hereby authorized to execute any and all purchase documents for the real
property described in Exhibit A. The City Council recognizes and agrees that doing so will
benefit the City through the addition to Galloway Park.
The Council hereby authorizes Mayor Johnson, City Clerk Davitt, and City Attorney
Friedman to execute and complete the appropriate documents required to approve the
purchase and sale of the property more particularly described in Exhibit A between the City
and Mary Joyce Mathis.
SECTION TWO; Any and all
