0676 RESOLUTION NO. 676 ( #02 - 2012)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT OF OBLIGATION WITH THE ARKANSAS
DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY; AND, FOR OTHER
PURPOSES,
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, by and through the Jacksonville
Wastewater Utility, deems it necessary and proper to enter into a Contract of Obligation
with the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality, as authorized under ACA § 8 -6-
1603, for part of the City's operation and submission of a Solid Waste Disposal Facility.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to enter
into a Contract of Obligation affixed hereto and to sign the Contract of Obligation on
behalf of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, by and through the Jacksonville Wastewater
Utility, for operation of its Solid Waste Disposal Facility. Any cost associated therewith
shall be borne by the Jacksonville Wastewater Utility.
SECTION TWO: Any and all other Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect from and
after its date of passage.
