ORDINANCE NO. 1371 (#14 - 09)
AN ORDINANCE TO MODIFY JACKSONVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE I206.010
(MINIMUM SALARY - MAYOR); AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1099 passed in 1998, the Jacksonville City
Council designated a minimum salary for the Office of Mayor, City Attorney, and City
Clerk; and,
WHEREAS, because of the upcoming Special Election and changes in
economic conditions and circumstances, the Council deems it appropriate to revise
the minimum salary designated for the Office of Mayor of the City of Jacksonville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT,
SECTION ONE; Jacksonville Municipal Code § 2.06.010 is hereby
amended and modified to include the following:
The annual minimum salary for the Office of Mayor of the City of Jacksonville shall
be Seventy-six Thousand Dollars ($76,000.00), which includes an Auto Allowance up
to and including One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) unless otherwise designated by
the City Council.
SECTION THREE: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after
its date of passage.
