RESOLUTION NO 769 (#06 — 2018)
A REVOLUTION EXPRESSING WILLINGNESS of THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, TO UTILIZE FEDERAL AID
TRANSPORTATION ALTERNA TRIES PROGRAM FUNDS FOR THE
MAIN STREET GA TEWA Y PROJECT AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS;. the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas; in application for
funding through the Federal Aid Transportation Alternative Program Funds.
are available for at an Eighty Percent (80010) Federal participation and.
Twenty Percent (20%) Local match to develop or improve the Main Street
Gateway Project;
WHEREAS, THE City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, understands that
Federal Aid Funds are only .available on a reimbursable basis, requiring the
work to be accomplished and proof of payment prior to actual monetary
reimbursement is granted; and,
1WHEREAS, the Main Street Gateway Project, using Federal funding,
will be. open and available for use by the general public and maintained by
the .City of Jacksonville. for the life of the. Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, 8E IT RESOL TIED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OFJACCSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THA T.-
SECTION ONE.- The City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, will
participate in the 2018 Federal Aid Transportation Alternatives Program in
accordance with its designated responsibility, including development,
construction, and maintenance of the Main .Street. Gateway Project.
SECTION TWO. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements and contracts
necessary to expedite the construction of the Pmjoct.as outlined above and
as required by any specific. grant terms.
SECTION THREE: The City Council of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas,. pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas. State
Department of Transportation to initiate action to implement this. Project..
. SECTION FOUR Any other Resolutions in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall he in
effect from and. after its date of passage.
