A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF
JACI+;SONVILLE, ARKANSAS, TO UTILIZE STATE AID STREET
MONIES FOR THE MAIN & JAMES. STREETS 0 VERLA YS; AND,. FOR
OTHER PURPOSES;
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, in application for
funding through the Arkansas State Aid Street. Program for overlay
improvements available for certain City projects, understands. that State Aid
Funds are available for the. Main and James..Streets Overlays in the following
participating ratios:

NOfN THEREFORE, 6E IT RESOLVED 6Y THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY. OF JACKSONVILLE,.ARKANSAS; THAT .
SECTION ONE; The City Council of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, will participate in the 2018 State Aid for City Street Program in
accordance with its designated responsibility, including development,
construction, and maintenance of overlays on Main and.James Streets.
SECTION TWO: The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby
authorized and directed to. execute a.11 appropriate agreements and contracts
necessary to expedite the construction of the above stated Projects as
outlined above and as required by any specific grant terms.
SECTION THREE.- The City agrees that, upon completion of
the. Projects, to. assume the maintenance of the Right of Way by the City
:and/or others, including utilities and individuals in accordance with prevailing
Arkansas State Highway & Transportation Department regulations.
5ECTIONFOUR The. City Council pledges its full support
and hereby authorizes the City of Jacksonville to cooperate with. the
Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department to initiate action to
implement this Project.

SECTION FIVE: Any other Resolutions in conflict. herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in
effect from and after its date of passage...
