AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS (GENERAL LOCATION: WOODSIDE
' SUBDIVISION, ADJACENT TO WESTERN HILLS SUBDIVISION);
AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBERS 213 AND 238 AND THE LAND USE MAP
OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: The zone classification of the following property be and
hereby is changed as indicated below:
Property Description:
Part of the SW 1/4 SE 1/4 of Section 23, T -3 -N, R -11 -W Jacksonville,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of the SW 1/4 SE 1/4 of Section
23, T -3 -N, R -11 -W, thence N 01° 10' 37" E, 865.70 feet; thence S
88° 14' 02" E, 510.21 feet; thence S 00° 22' 28" W, 60.02 feet to the
point of beginning. Thence `S 88° 14' 02" E, 175.00 feet; thence 5
88° 07' 57" E, 46.67 feet; thence S 67° 03' 51" E, 6.72 feet; thence
S 67° 03' 51" E, 150.00 feet; thence S 22° 56' 09" W, 270.75 feet;
thence S 67° 03' 51" E, 25.00 feet; thence S 22° 56' 09" W, 150.00
feet; thence on a curve to the left bearing S 05° 02' 38" W, 46.08 feet

The above described property is hereby rezoned from classification R -0 to R-4.
(General Location: Woodside Subdivision, lying adjacent to Western Hills
Subdivision).
SECTION TWO: The map referred to in Section No. 601 of Ordinance No.
213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No. 238 and
. -- designated as the official Zoning Map and Land Use Map, should be and hereby is
amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the
changes provided for in Section One hereof.
SECTION THREE: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage and publication, as provided by and subject to the requirements of
applicable law.

City Attorney Bamburg clarified that Ordinance 1299 „did not pass
first reading with a 2/3 vote and was not legally passed on first
reading. Ordinance 1293 was deemed null and void.
