ORDINANCE NO. 506
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 142 OF 1963 "MASTER
STREET PLAN OF JACKSONVILLE PLANNING AREA "; RELOCAT-
ING LOOP ROAD AT HIGHWAY 161 INTERSECTION; DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Planning Commission has requested
that Loop Road at Highway 161 be relocated to provide for easier
access for vehicular traffic onto T. P. White and Vandenburg
intersections; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to adopt said relocation on the
Master Street Plan in order for the City to be eligible for
federal matching funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the
City of Jacksonville that:
Section 1. The "Master Street Plan of the Jacksonville
Planning Area" under the provisions of Ordinance 142 of 1963 and
Ark. Stats. Ann., Section 19 -2828, is hereby amended to show the
relocation of Loop Road at Highway 161 to T. P. White according
to the attached map.
Section 2. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of
the citizens of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency
is'hereby declared to exist and the above Ordinance shall be in
full force and effect immediately after its passage.
