AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213 AND 238
OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. (APPROXIMATE LOCATION AS FOLLOWS)
(CHAPEL HILL ROAD AND LOOP ROAD VICINITY, CHAPEL HILTS MEM. PARK)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS,
that:
SECTION 1. The zone classification of the following property be and
is hereby changed as indicated:
Part of the West one -half (W 1/2) of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4)
of the Southeast Quarter (SE 1/4) of Section 17, Township 3 North,
Range West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described
as follows:
Starting at the Southwest corner of said W 1/2 of the SE 1/4
of the SE 1/4 of Section 17, T -3 -N, R -1 -W; thence N 0 20' 40" E,
50.04 feet to a point on the north right of way line of Loop Road;
thence N 87 53' 30" E, 360.54 feet to the point of beginning;
thence continuing N 87° 53' 30" E, 300.0 feet along said Loop Road
right of way; thence N 0 21' 50" E, 250.0 feet; thence S 87° 53'
30" W, 300.0 feet; thence S 0° 21° 50" W, 250.0 feet to the point
of beginning: Containing 1.72 acres, more or less rezoned from
R -1 to C -1.
bEc2ICN 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of the Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No.
238, and designated official zoning map, should be and hereby is amended to
the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the changes
provided for in Section 1, thereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation
of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ord-
inance shall have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
