AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE
NOS. 213 AND 238 OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
(APPROX. LOCATION) OLD HIGHWAY 67 AND L.R.A.F.B. RESERVATION
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. The zone classification of the following property be and is
hereby changed as indicated:
PART OF THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 17 , TOWNSHIP
3 NORTH, RANGE 10 WEST, PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS.
Starting at the Northwest corner of said Section 17; thence North
89 ° 14' 23" East 316 feet; thence South 0 ° 56' 23" West 860 feet;
thence North 89 °14' 23" East 605 feet; thence South 1 29' 23"
West 573.7 feet; thence South 65 ° 02' 37" East 650 feet to a
point, said point being Little Rock Air Force Boundary Monument
No. 17; thence North 02 °05' 42" East a distance of 386.8 feet
to the point of beginning; thence continue North 02° 05'24" East
a distance of 257.7 feet to a point; thence South 89° 46' 18"
East 243.05 feet to a point, on the Westerly Right -of -way line
of Old U.S. Highway #67; thence Southwesterly along the
Westerly right -of -way line of old U.S. Highway 67 a distance
of 232.9 ft. to a point; thence South 82° 22' 42" West a distance
of 210.62 feet to the point of beginning, containing 1.25 acres
more or less. Rezoned from Class R -O to Class C -2.
SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of the Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No. 238,
and designated official zoning map, should be and hereby is amended to the extent
and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the changes provided for in
Section 1 thereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance
shall have full force and effect immediatelly after its passage.
