0390 ORDINANCE NO. 3 90
AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION
OF CERTAIN LANDS TO THE CITY OF JACK-
SONVILLE, ARKANSAS, AND MAKING SAME A
PART OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE AND
ASSIGNING SAME TO WARDS
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the County Clerk
of Pulaski County, Arkansas, by the owner of the herein-
after described land, praying that said lands be annexed
to and made a part of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
and,
WHEREAS, on the 13th day of April, 1976, the County
Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, found that the petition
was signed by Winrock Homes, Inc., as the owner of all of
said lands; that said lands are contiguous and adjoining
the present corporate limits of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas; that an accurate plat or map of said lands had
been filed with and made a part of said petition; that
proper notice had been given for the time and in the
manner prescribed by law, and that all things pertaining
thereto had been done in the manner prescribed by law,
and that said lands should be annexed to and made a part
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, subject to the
acceptance of same by the City Council of said City at
the proper time as +provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the time fixed by law for appealing from
said order of annexation made by the County Court has
expired and no appeal has been taken from said order;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
Section 1. That the following described lands con-
tiguous and adjoining the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
be and the same are hereby accepted as part of and annexed
to and made a part of the City of Jacksonville:
Part of the Southwest Quarter of the Southwest
Quarter (SW's SW's), Section 28, Township 3 North,
Range 10 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of the
SW1 SW1, Section 28, Township 3 North, Range 10
West; thence S 89 20' 40" E along the South right
of way line of Corbin Street 1043.5 feet to the
West right of way line of Loop Road; thence S 1 28'
40" W along the West right of way line of Loop Road
209.52 feet;
Thence continue along said right of way line
along a curve to the right (/L - 15 R■1859.8' T- 244.84')
a distance of 487.01 feet; thence S 16 28' 40" W along
said right of way line 622.04 feet to the North right
of way line of Military Road (Arkansas State Highway
No. 294); thence S 89 11' 46" W along the North right
of way line of Military Road (Arkansas State Highway
No. 294) 817.26 feet to the center line of Southeastern
Avenue;
Thence N 1 22' 23" E along the center line
of Southeastern Avenue 1308.5 feet to the Point of
Beginning; containing 28.8 acres, more or less.
Section 2. That the above described lands shall be an-
nexed to and made a part of Ward No. Z of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, and the same shall henceforth be a
part of said Ward as fully as existing parts of said Ward.
