AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213
AND 238 OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN
EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain property owners haw duly filed petitions for the
rezoning of their properties; public notices have been duly run in the Jack-
sonville News, a newspaper having authority to publish notice; public hear-
ings have been held pursuant to the public notices and at the time and place
set therefor; that the Planning Commission has considered each request and
has made the recommendation that the zone classifications be changed as
hereinafter indicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. The zone classification of the following property be and
is hereby changed as indicated:
Part of the South Half (5 of the Southwest Quarter. (SW /) of Section
29, T -3 -N, R -10 -W, Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the Northeast corner of Lot 3, Block 5, Country Club
Addition to the City of Jacksonville (recorded in Plat Book 11, Page 70, at
the Pulaski County Court House, Little Rock, Arkansas), said point being
on the North line of said S% SW /; thence N 88 51' 51" E, 1573.4 feet to the
Northeast corner of said S% SW %; thence 5 01 33' 20" E, along the east
line of said S3 SW%, 1284.6 feet to the north right -of -way line of old Mili-
tary Road; thence S 88° 59' W along said right -of -way line, 815.3 feet to
the point of beginning; thence continue S 88 59' W along said right -of -way
line, 708,0 feet; thence North 330.0 feet; thence N 64° 30' 40" E, 87.4 feet;
thence S 72 31' E, 240.0 feet; thence N 88 59' E, 395.0 feet; thence S 01
01' E, 290.0 feet to the point of beginning: Containing 5.0 acres, more or
less. (Adjacent to Woodbriar Subdivision). Rezoned from Class R -1 to
Class C -2.

along said right -of -way line, 755.3 feet; thence N 01 o 01 ' W, 412.0 feet;
thence N 62 47' 17" E, 833.58 feet to the point of beginning: Containing
10.3 acres, more or less. (Adjacent to Woodbriar Subdivision). Rezoned
from Class R -1 to Class R -3.
SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of the Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordira nce No.
238, and designated official zoning map, should be and hereby is amended to
the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the changes
provided for in Section 1 thereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate pre-
servation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of
the City of Jacksonville . Arkansas, Arkansas an emeregencyis hereby declared to
exist and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after
its passage.
