AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213
AND 238 OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain property owners have duly filed petitions for the
rezoning of their properties; publicnotices have been duly run in the
Jacksonville News, a newspaper having authority to publish notice; public
hearings have been held pursuant to the public notices and at the time and
place set therefor; that the Planning Commission has considered each re-
quest and has made the recommendation that the zone classification be
changed as hereinafter indicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. The zone classification of the following property be and is
hereby changed as indicated:
Lots 3 through 14, Block 9 and Lots 17 through 22, Block 6, of Section II,
Briarfield Subdivision to the City of Jacksonville. (rezoned from Class 11-0
to Class 11-1), and
The East One -Half (E2) of Lot 49, Henry Estates Addition to the City of
Jacksonville. (rezoned from Class R -1 to Class R -2), and
Part of the North 2 of Section 17, T -3 -N, R -10 -W, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, more particularly described as follows:
Starting at the Northeast Cornerof the NE1 of the NW4 of said Section 17;
thence South 88 "51' East 196.66 feet; thence South 2" 1'30" West, 1,092.54 feet to a
point on the Northerly Right -of -Way Line of U.S. Highway 67 -167, which is the
point of beginning of this tract; thence South 55" 12'West, 1, 665 feet, more
or less, to its point of intersection with the Easterly Right -of -Way Line of
State Highway 161; thence Northeasterly along said Easterly Right -of -Way line
975 feet; thence North 89" 53' East 169. 15 feet; thence South 40 ' 5' East -
204.21 feet; thence North 55" 12' E 937.17 feet; thence South 2 "1'30" West
312.5 feet to the point of beginning, containing 10.79 acres, more orless.

SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of the Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as an by Ordinance No.
238, and designated official zoning map, should be and it is hereby amended
to the extent and in the respects necessary effect and designate the cha
n n n r pec t n ces ry to ff ct n changes
provided for in Section 1 thereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its a
