THE PLANNING COMMISSION: PROVIDING FOR TIIE ELECTION OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION CHARIMAN: DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

SECTION 1. There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City
of Jacksonville, Sec. 2.32.011, which is to read as follows:
Planning Commission members shall not servo more than two (2)
consecutive terms unless they were originally appointed to serve out an
unexpired term in case they shall be allowed to serve a maximum
of two (2) consecutive terms after the original unexpired term has expired.
SECTION 2. There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City
of Jacksonville, Sec. 2.32.021, which is to read as follows:
The Planning Commission shall elect a chairman and other officers as
may be deemed necessary at the first regular meeting of the year. The
chairman shall serve a one (1) year term and may not succeed Himself.
SECTION 3. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preser-
vation,of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency i:- hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its
passage.
