ORDINANCE NO. 1
AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213 AND 238
OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain property owners have duly filed petitions for the re-
zoning of their properties; public notices have been duly run in the Jackson-
ville News, a newspaper having authority to publish notice; public hearings
have been held pursuant to the public notices and at the time and place set
therefor; that the Planning Commission has considered each request and has
made the recommendation that the zone classification be changed as herein-
after indicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. The zone classification of the following property be and is
hereby changed as indicated:
Part of the Southwest Quarter (SW4) of Section 30, Township 3 North,
Range 10 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more particularly de-
scribed as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest (SW) Corner of said Section 30, T -3 -N,
R -10 -W, thence East along the north right -of -way line of Trickey Lane,
833.4 feet to the point of beginning; thence N 0" 25' E, 625.0 feet; thence
N 09" 42' E, 890.2 feet; thence S 33" 31' W, 492.2 feet; thence west, 241.0
feet; thence S 0" 25' W, 210.0 feet; thence West along the north right -of -way
line of Trickey Lane, 380.4 feet to the point of beginning; containing 9.0
acres, more or less. ( rezoned from R -3 to R -4)
AND
Beginning at a point 23.0 feet South of the NE Cor of the W2 of the NE+
of Sec. 19, T -3 -N, R -10 -W, said point being on the South R/W line of
Gregory Street; thence West along said R/W line 158. 53 feet; thence South
187.0 feet; thence East 158 -53 feet; thence North 187.0 feet to the point of
beginning. (Corner of Gregory and North Bailey Streets). (rezoned from
R -0 to C -3)

Beginning at a point where the south line of West Main Street intersects
the west line of Bailey Street, also known as Stone Street; thence South
0" 30' East a distance of 140 feet along the west line of Bailey Street; thence
in a westerly direction 100 feet along a line parallel to the South line of West
Main Street to the southeast corner of Lot 77 of West Jacksonville Sub division
No. 1; thence in a northerly direction a distance of 140 feet along a line
parallel to the west line of Bailey Street to the South line of West Main Street
which is also the northeast corner of Lot 77 of West Jacksonville Subdivision
No. 1; thence in an easterly direction 100 feet along the south line of West
Main Street back to the point of beginning. ( rezoned from C -2 to C -3)
SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of the Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No.
238, and designated official zoning map, should be and it is hereby amended
to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the changes
provided for in Section 1 thereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its
passage.
