RESOLUTION NO. 668 (# 14 - 2011)
A RESOLUTION SETTING A PUBLIC HEARING ADDRESSING ADOPTION OF AN
ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF WATER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
REVENUE BONDS TO FINANCE THE CONSTRUCTION OF EXTENSIONS, BETTERMENTS,
AND IMPROVEMENTS TO THE JACKSONVILLE WATER SYSTEM; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas (the "City ") proposes to fund certain
improvements to the Jacksonville Water System servicing the City and its customers; and,
WHEREAS, a required public hearing must be held to discuss the issuance of Water
Capital Improvements Revenue Bonds to finance construction of the improvements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTI.ONONE; A Public Hearing on the question of adoption of an
ordinance authorizing the issuance of Water Capital Improvement Revenue Bonds to finance the
construction of the extensions, betterments, and improvements to the Jacksonville water system
servicing the City and its customers, as required by Act 852 of 1987, shall be held on Thursday,
October 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be held on the regular call of the City
Council agenda, in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, #1 Municipal Drive, Jacksonville,
Arkansas. At such hearing all objections and suggestions will be heard and considered so the
City Council can take such action on the ordinance as it deems proper.
SECTION TWO; The City Clerk is to assure that a timely notice of this public
hearing is published in accordance with Arkansas Law.
