RESOLUTION NO, 747 (#13 - 2016)
A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OFAN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE AND THE
JACKSONVILLE BOYS' & GIRLS' CLUB FOR MAINTENANCE OF THE
FACILITY FOR CALENDAR YEAR 2017; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Boys' & Girls' Club is housed in a City -owned building and
property located at #1 Boys' Club Drive, and,
WHEREAS, said entity is in need of funds for maintenance and utilities of their structure
during 2017, this Council believes it is in the City's best interests to utilize City General Funds to
provide for maintenance and utility costs for the Boys' & Girls' Club. To do so, City officials must be
authorized to execute required documents for such expenditures.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: The Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
are hereby authorized to execute documents for payment through City funds in the amount of Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) for maintenance and utility costs for the Jacksonville Boys' & Girls'
Club at #1 Boys' Club Drive, Jacksonville, during 2017. As well, provisions of the documents should
provide that the Boys' & Girls' Club will be responsible for and pay all maintenance and utility costs
incurred at the Boys' & Girls' Club during the calendar year 2017. The Council hereby directs Mayor
Fletcher, City Clerk Davitt, and City Attorney Bamburg to approve, execute, and complete the
appropriate documents required to authorize the above expenditures from 2017 City General funds
and contract provisions.
SECTION TWO: Any and all other Resolutions or Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect from and after
its date of passage.
