AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS.
213 AND 238 OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain property owners have duly filed petitions for the
rezoning of their properties; public notice has been duly run in the Jackson-
ville News, a newspaper having authority to publish notice; public hearings
have been held pursuant to public notices and at the time and place set there-
for; that the Planning Commission has considered each request and has made
the recommendation that the zone classification be changed as hereinafter in-
dicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. That the zone reclassification of the following property
be and is hereby changed as indicated:
(a) Beginning at the Southwest corner of SE% of SE%, Section 30, Township
3 North, Range 10 West; thence North 900 feet; thence East 120 feet to point of
beginning; thence South 300 feet; thence East 150 feet; thence North 150 feet;
thence West 2 feet; thence North 150 feet; thence West 148 feet to point of be-
ginning. (Located on Taylor Street). Rezoned from Class R -1 to Class C -3.
(b) Lots 1 through 11, Northgage Subdivision, Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Rezoned from Class R -3 to Class C -3.
SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No.
238, and designated official zoning map, should be and it is hereby amended
to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the changes
provided for in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate pre-
servation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of

the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist
and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its pass-
age.
