AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213
AND 238 OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLAR
AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain property owners have duly filed petitions for
rezoning of their properties; public notice has been duly run in the
vine News, a newspaper having authority to publish notice; public hear' r I
have been held pursuant to public notices and at the time and place set
therefor; that the Planning Commission has considered each request and has
made the recommendation that the zone classification be changed as herein-
after indicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, That:
SECTION 1. That the zone reclassification of the following property
be and is hereby changed as indicated.
Subsection (a). Part of the East One -Half (Eli) of the Southwest
Quarter (SW /), Section 17, Township 3 North, Range 10 West, more
particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner
of the East One -Half (EY) of the Southwest Quarter (SW %) of said Section
17; thence South 853 1/3 feet to the point of beginning; thence West, 205
feet; thence South 113 1/3 feet; thence East, 205 feet; thence North 113 1/3
feet to the point of beginning. (Adjacent to Linda Lane). Rezoned from R -1 to R -3.
SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of Ordinance
No. 213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance
No. 238, and designated official zoning map, should be and it is hereby
amended to the extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate
the changes provided for in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, safety, welfare, and morale of the citizens

of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declar e_n;
exist and this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after
its passage.
