AN ORDINANCE ADJUSTING THE 1972 APPROPRIATED BUDGET, BY
DEPARTMENTS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 250 TO SIX HUNDRED
SEVENTY -TWO THOUSAND, AND SIXTY -SIX DOLLARS ($ 672,066.00)
IN GENERAL FUND; AND TWO HUNDRED NINETY -SIX THOUSAND,
NINETY DOLLARS ($ 296,090.00) IN STREET DEPARTMENT;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jacksonville,Arkansas,
approved the appropriated budget for 1972, by departments, and
WHEREAS, the City Council had determined for various reasons,
and to conform to the needs of the City, in keeping with the City
Revenue available, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it necessary at this time to
re- adjust the 1972 appropriated budget by departments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1: That from and after the passage and approval of this
ordinance the 1972 appropriated budget, by department, shall be as
follows:

Fire Department 129,000.00

SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION 3: The City Council has determined that it is imperative
that the city government operate in an efficient and orderly manner, and
a budg t be adopted and the monies appropriated therefore in accordance
with t e laws of the State of Arkansas before the end of the calendar year.
THEREF E, and emergency is hereby declared to exist, and this ordinance
being ecessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health
and sa ety, shall be in full force and effect from December 1, 1972, and
after its passage and
