ORDINANCE NO. 047c
AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213 AND 238 OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, certain property owners have duly filed petitions for the re-
zoning of their properties; public notice has been duly run in the Jacksonville
News, a newspaper having authority to publish notice; public hearings have been
held pursuant to public notices and at the time and place set therefor; that the
Planning Commission has considered each request and has made the recommenda
tion that the zone classifications be changed as hereinafter indicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, That:
SECTION 1. That the zone reclassification of the following property be
and is hereby changed as indicated.
Subsection (a). A part of the West one -half (W'%) of the West one -half
(W6) of Section 31, Township 3 North, Range 10 West, more particularly des-
cribed as follows:
Starting at the Southwest corner of Section 31; thence North, 655.5
feet; thence N 37 E, 1339.0 feet to a point of beginning; thence N 53 W 398.9
feet; thence N 35 34' E, 125.0 feet; thence N 51 59' W, 160.0 feet; thence
N 37 E, 862.0 feet to the centerline of Bayou Meto Creek; thence Southeast
down centerline of said Bayou Meto Creek to the right of way of State Highway
*161; thence S 44 25' W, 477.1 feet along said right of way; thence S 37 45'
W, 176.7 feet; thence S 37 W, 181.3 feet to the point of beginning. Part of
Lakeshore Subdivision (an unrecorded plat). Rezoned from R -0 to R -4.
Section 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of Ordinance No.
213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No 238,
and designated official zoning map should be and it is hereby amended to the ex-
tent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the change provided
for in Section 1 hereof.

SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of
the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
