AN ORDINANCE RP-CLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213 AND 238 OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREFORE, certain property owners have duly filed petitions for the
rezoning of their properties. Public notice has been duly run in the Jacksonville
News, a newspaper having authority to publish notice; public hearings have been
held pursuant to public notices and at the time and place set therefor; that the
Planning Commission has considered each request and has made the recommen-
dation that the zone classifications be changed as hereinafter indicated.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED 13Y THE CITY COUNCIL_ OF THE
CT'tY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, That:
SECTION 1. That the zone classification of the following property be and
is hereby changed as indicated.
Subsection (a). Part of Section 31, Township 3 North, Range 10 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, described as follows: Commence at the SW corner
of said Section 31; thence East along the South line of said Section 31 a distance
of 300 feet; thence N 0 W 715.8 feet; thence N 62 W 73.7 feet to a point
on the Easterly R/W line of State Highway No. 161; thence N 37 ° 51' E along
said R/W line 1200 feet to the point of beginning; thence continuing along said
R/W line N 40 ° 27' E 100 feet; thence N 41 E 100 feet; thence N 42 ° 15' E 100
feet; thence N 41 E 100 feet; thence N 42 ° 01' E 90 feet to a point on the high
bank of Bayou Mao; thence S 71 ° 48' E along said bank 298.75 feet; thence S 89
17' E along said bank 313.52 feet; thence S 35 W 580.08 feet; thence N 70
55' W 618.54 feet to the point of beginning, containing 6.512 acres, more or lass,
and also a strip of land lying between the North line of the above described pro-
perty and the center line of Bayou Mao, described as follows: Beginning at the
NW corner of the above described property and the center line of Bayou Meto,
described as follows: Beginning at the NW corner of the above described tract;
thence S 71 ° 48' E 298.7 feet; thence S 89 ° 18' E 313.52 feet; thence N 35 ° 38'

SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of Ordinance No.
213 of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended by Ordinance No. 238,
and designated official zoning map should be and it is hereby amended to the
extent and in the respects necessary to effect and designate the change provided
for in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.
SECTION 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate preserva-
tion of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the citizens of the City
of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this
