ORDINANCE NO. ,
AN ORDINANCE ACCE_rFING CERTAIN TERRITORY AS ANNEXED TO THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, on January 18, 1972, the Pulaski County Court approved an-
nexation of the following described lands to the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski
County, Arkansas;
WHEREAS, said City of Jacksonville is willing to accept the water, sewer
and street facilities installed on said lands for maintenance and operation;
NOW, THEREFORE_, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE C1TY COUNCIL OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, That:
SECTION 1. That the following described lands are hereby accepted as
annexed to the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to -wit:
A part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter (SE/a
N 'E/a) of Section Nineteen (19), Township Three (3) North, Range
Ten (10) West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly
described as follows: Begin at a point on the East line of the
SE'/ NE./'o of said section, which is 660 feet South of the North-
east corner thereof and run thence South along said East line
630 feet; thence West parallel with the North line of said section
530 feet; thence North 630 feet; thence East 530 feet to the point
of beginning, comprising about 7 2/3 acres.
SECTION 2, This ordinance is hereby declared to be necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of this
community and its citizens; that an emergency is hereby declared and this or-
dinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED this day of March, 1972.
