AN ORDINANCE CALLING FOR A SPECIAL CENSUS FOR THE CITY OF JACKSON -
VILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR. OTITER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, there has been considerable growth in the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas since the last regular census;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
Section One. That a special census of the population of the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas shall be conducted as soon as arrange-
ments can be made for same and that City officials shall be and hereby
are empowered to do and perform any and all acts necessary in securing
and accomplishing said census for the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Section TWo. This ordinance being necessary for the preserva-
tion of the health and general welfare of the public, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall become in full
force and effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
