AN ORDINANCE RECLASSIFYING VARIOUS PROPERTIES IN THE CITY OF JACKSON:-
VILLE, ARKANSAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NOS. 213 AND 238 OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREFORE, certain property owners have duly filed petitions
for the rezoning of their properties. Public notice has been duly
run in the Jacksonville News, a newspaper having authority to publish
notice; public hearings have been held pursuant to public notices and
at the time and place set therefor; that the Planning Commission has
considered each request and has made the recommendation that the zone
classifications be changed as hereinafter indicated.
NOW, TFLEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
SECTION 1. Thai the zone reclassification of the following
property be and is hereby changed as indicated:
Subsection (a). Part of the NE1 of the NEB of Section
19, T-3-N, R -10 -W, in the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows:
The Fast 350 feet of the following described property:
Starting at the Southeast corner of the NE4 of the N g,
Section 19, T-3 -N, R- 1.0-W; thence N 89 degrees 49 min-
utes W, 30.0 feet to the West right -of -way line of State
Highway No. 161; thence N 0 degrees 10 minutes W, 288.3
feet along said state highway right-of-way to the point
of beginning; thence N 88 degrees 37 minutes E, 400.0
feet; thence N 2 degrees 52 minutes W, 80.5 feet; thence
N 88 degrees 53 minutes W, 900.0 feet; thence N 0 de-
grees 15 minutes E, 19.2 feet to the southeasterly right -
of -way of U. S. Highway No. 67; thence N 34 degrees 52
minutes E along said state highway right:- ottway, 656.2
feet; thence N 45 degrees 23 minutes E along said right-
of-way, 489.8 feet to the intersection with the Gregory
Street right-of-way; thence S 71 degrees 00 minutes E.
169.0 feet; thence N 26 degrees 00 minutes E, 20.3 feet;
thence S 53 degrees 03 minutes E, 130.4 feet; thence N
46 degrees 02 minutes E, 10.1 feet; thence S 44 degrees
30 minutes L•' along said Gregory Street southwest right -
of -way, 400.6 feet to the West right --of -way of State
Highway No. 161; thence S 3 degrees 45 minutes E, 200.6
feet along said right -of -way; thence S 0 degrees 10 min-
utes E, 388.0 feet along said right - of-way to the point
of beginning; (located South of Gregory Street and West
of North First Street). Rezoned from R-1 to C -3.
SECTION 2. That the map referred to in Section 601 of
Ordinance No. 213 of the city of Jacksonville, Arkansas, as amended
by Ordinance No. 238, and designated official zoning map should be
and it is hereby amended to the extent and in the respects necessary
to effect and designate the change provided for in Section 1 hereof.
SECTION 3. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in con-
flict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any such conflict.

SECT/ON 4. This ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the
citizens of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, au emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall have full force and effect
immediately after its passage.
