AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO Tier:
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, OF CERTAIN LANDS IN PULASKI
COUNTY, AREANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas,
on certain dates reflected upon the minutes of the County
Court, upon the petitions of certain persons owning all of
the property affected, after due notice of said hearings
upon said petitions for the time and in the manner prescribed
by law, order the annexation to the city of Jacksonville
those certain lands hereinafter described and contiguous to
the present limits of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, that:
Section 1: That the city of Jacksonville, Arkansas, acting
through its City council, does hereby approve and accept for
annexation and does hereby make a part of the incorporated area
\ of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, the following described
', real property, to -wit:
A part of Section 31, Township 3 North, Range 10 West
;s'',' more particularly described as follows: Beginning
at a point where the South right of way line of State
Highway 294 intersects the East line of Section 31,
Township 3 North, Range 10 West, thence South along
the East line of said Section to the middle of the
main channel of Bayou Meto, thence Westerly along
the middle of the main channel of Bayou Meto to
its intersection with the East right of way line
of State Highway 161, thence Northeasterly along
said right of way line to its intersection with
the South, right of way line of State Highway 294,
thence Northeasterly along said South right of
way line to the point of beginning; less and
except that portion of the foregoing lands de-
scribed as follows: Beginning at a point on the
East line of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southwest
1/4 of said Section 31, 50 feet, more or less,
South of the Northeast corner thereof; thence
South 40.8 feet along said East line; thence
South 40 27' 30" West 550 feet, more or less,

along a line 410 feet Southeast of and parallel
to the Centerline of Highway 161 to the center
of Bayou Meto; thence Westerly along the center
of Bayou Meto to the Southerly right of way line
of Highway 161; thence North 40 27' 30" East
800 feet, more or less, along said right of way
line; thence South 49 32' 30" East 313.5 feet,
more or, less, to the point of•beginni.ng, the
tract containing 5.5 acres, more or less.

Section 3: That the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, acting
through its City Council, does hereby approve and accept for
annexation and does hereby make a part of the incorporated area
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, the following described
real property, to -wit:
Part of the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 28,
Township 3 North, Range 10 West, on Record as,
NEELY SUBDIVISION, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
aiid described: Beginning
at a point that is 491.2 feet East and 25 feet
North of the SW Corner of said NW 1/4 of the
NW 1/4 of Section 28, thence North 1 10' West
656.48 feet, thence North 89 09' East 567.75
feet, thence South 0 03' East 664.9 feet,
thence West 554.5 feet to the point of beginning.
Section 4: That it is further ordained that the said
described in Section 3hereof

ville, Arkansas.

Section 6: That it is further ordained that the said lands described in
Section 5 hereof be and they are hereby assigned and attached to an made a part
of the /pi- Ward of the said City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Section 7: That the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, acting through its
City Council, does hereby approve and accept for annexation and does hereby
make a part of the incorporated area of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, the
following described real property, to -wit:
The Northeast Quarter (NE 1/4) of the Northwest Quarter (NW 1/4) of
Section 22, Township 3 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
containing 40 acres, more or. less.
Section 8: That it is further ordained that the said lands described in
Section 7 hereof he and they are hereby assigned and attached to and made a
part of the ?. of the said City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Section 9: It is hereby found and determined that the enactment of this
ordinance is immediately necessary for the purpose of bettering the health,
welfare and protection of the citizens of Jacksonville, Arkansas and an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon its passage and approval..
