Amy person, firm or corporation engaging in more than one business or profession shall be required to obtain a license and pay the tax for each such business, occupation or profession. This Ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, peace and welfare, an cmergoncy is declared to exist and this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect .from and after its passage and approval. It is further declared that if any of the provisions of this Ordinance or applications thereof to any person or circumstances is held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect other provisions or applications of the Ordinance which can be given effect without tho invalid provisions or applications, and to this end the provision of this Ordinance is declared to be severable.
