AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 3, PARTS A AND Ti OF ORDINANCE #159,
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING REQUfltMF.'NTS IN ISSUING BUILDING PERMITS;
REPEALING CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; DECLARING AN DIETtGENCY 10 EXIST;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY WE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS;
That Section 3, parts A and B of Ordinance #159 be amended and the
following added to, and become Section 3, parts A and A of Ordinance
#159;
Section 3. Fees for building permits shall be
based. on the estimated value of the construction,
including material and Labor as follows:
A. On all construction of a tempory character,
such as .fruit stands, fireworks displays, and other
construction of the same generic class k'ave and no /100
($5.00) .Dollars per $100.00 valuation, or part
thereof, on all valued at $500.00 or less.
B. All other construction shall be presumed to be of
a permanent character and the fees for such permits
shall be according to the following scale:
1. Five and no /100 ($5.00) delJ.ars per $100.00
valuation or part thereof, on all construction
between $100.00 and $1,000.00,
2. Ten and. no /100 ($10.00) dollars on the first
$1,000.00 valuation, and
3. Two and no /100 ($2.00) dollars per each $1,000.00
valuation, or part thereof, on all construction over
Ube first $1,000.00.
This Ordinance being necessary for the immediate preservation of the
public health, peace, safety, and welfare, an omergonoy is declared
to exist and this ordinance shall bo in full force and effect from
and after its passage and approval.
