AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE SALE AND SHOOTING OF FIREWORKS MITEIN THE
Gin LIMITS OF JACKSONVIETJ;, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EME1iGENCY TO EXIST
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
Aire , the sale and shooting of fireworks within the City limits
of Jacksonville, Arkansas, has been determined to be a public nuisance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF tw: CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, that:
Section 1. No person, firm or corporation shall sell at retail
or wholesale within the City any squibs, firecrackers, fireworks, caps
for cap pistols or the like; nor shall any person, firm or corporation
explode or discharge within the City any squibs, firecrackers, fireworks,
caps for cap pistols or the like. and possession of a broken pr�cksgu ®f any o:t: the

Section 2. No the provisions of Section 1 hereof,
Section 6(4) of Ordinance No. 190, as amended hy Ordinance No. 201t,
t permitting the Parks and Recreation Commission or Director to allow

shall remain in :Pull force and effect and shall, not be repealed by
this ordinance.
Sedion 3. Any person, firm or dorporation violation this Ordin-
ance shall be deemed huiity of a misdemeanor and, on conviction, shall
be fined in a sum not less that $5.00 nor more then $50.00.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed. If any part of this Ordinance is held to
be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction,
such invalid part or section shall, not affect the validity of any of
the remainder of this ordinance.
Section 5. That this Ordinance being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of the
citizens of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency is hereby
declared. to exist and this Ordinance shall have fall force and effect
Immediately after its passage.
