AN ORDINANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSESSING FivE MILLS AND THREE
AND ONE -FAT.F MILLS, TOTALING EIGHT AND ONE -HALF (60) MILL TAX
AGAINST PERSONAL AND RFLT. PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS
OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVITJE, ARKANSAS, FOR TBE YEAR 196• .1 " `
Whereas, it is necessary to meet current obligations and expenses of
the City, to levy upon all real and personal property within the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, a tax of five (5) mills to be collected with the

taxes collected in the year 1965i and
Whereas, an Ordinance numbered 113, dated December 1, 1960, was passed
by the City Council of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, authorizing the
issuance of bonds for the purpose of acquiring a site for, construction
and equipping a municipal hospital,levying a tax sufficient to pay the
principal and interest of such bonds and
Whereas, it is necessary, in order to pay the bonds, together with
interest thereon, to levy upon all real and personal property within the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, a continuing special tax of three and one -half
(3i) mills to be collected with the taxes collected in the year 196gi
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORTA TNRD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That a tax of eight and one -half (0) mills on each
dollar of assessed valuation of all real and personal property within the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, be and the same is hereby levied by the
City Council of the City of Jacksonville, to be collected with the taxes
collected in the year 1968
SECTION 2. That a certified copy of this Ordinance be delivered by
the City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, to the County Clerk
of Pulaski County, Arkansas, whose duty it shall be to extend said eight and
one -half (0) mills tax against all real and personal property assessments
made against properties within the corporate limits of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance will be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and approval.
