ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND Cat:
CLERK OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT
WITH WPM BROTHERS TO PURCHASE APPROXIMATELY EIGHTY(80)
ACRES OF LAND TO BE USED AS A MUNICIPAL PARS; APPROPRIATING
THE SUM OF EIGHT THOUSAND DOLIARS FOR-PURCHASE OF SAID LAND;
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
are hereby authorized and directed to enter into Contract with Dupree Brothers Of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, for purchase of eighty (80) acres of land, more or less, to
be used by the City of Jacksonville for a Municipal Park, said land more particularly
described as follows:
Forty acres: NE1, SE*, Section 25, Township 3 North,
Range 11 West, except approximately .14 of an acre in
New Highway 67 Right -Of Way.
Forty acres: SW1, BEI, Section 25, Towaship 3 North,
Range 11 West, except approximately 1.26 acres in New
+ Highway 67 Right-Of-Way, said lands all in Pulaski
County and within City Limits of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. That the sum of Eight Thousand($8,000.00) Dollars is hereby
appropriated for purchase of lands described in Section 1 of this ordinance.
SECTION 3. All ordinances in conflict herewith ere repealed, and unless the
provisions of this ordinance are placed into effect at once, the health and safety
of the citizens of the city will be adversely affected, therefore an emergency is
declared to exist, and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage and approval.
