Whereas, the Pulaski County Court has signets an order
granting the petition for the annexation of said lands des-
cribed in the petition subject to the acceptance by the City
Counoil of the :City of Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
as is provided ,brie4.

Flow, therefore, be it ordained by the City Council of
the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas:
Section 1. That the following described territory
contiguous to and adjoining the City limits of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, is hereby annexed to, and made a part
of, the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas, to-wit:
A tract of land more particularly described as
beginning; It a point 140.07 feet East of the SW
corner of the Sat NE;; of Section 17, Township 3
Worth, Pmnee 10 West; run thence North to the North •
Boundary line of the S89 NE4 of said Section 17;
run thence East along said North Boundary line of
the SEA NE:',: of said Section 17 to a point 25 feet
enst of the East right -of -way line of Eastern
Avenue; thence ^Forth along the East right -of -way
of said 7astern Avenue to the South line of the SW*
of :section 9; thence last along the South line of
the Sit. of Section 9 to the center line of said
Section 9; thence North a long said center line to
the NF corner of the SWt of Section 9; thence West
slonh he North line of the SW$ of Section 9 to its
intersection with the East right -of -way line of
New United States Highway No. 67; thence in a
southwesterly direction along the East right - of-
=ay line of New United States Highway No.67 to the
South right - of - way line of Wadden Road; thence in
an easterly direction along the South right - of - way
line of Madden Road to a point due South of the
point of beginning; thence North to the point of be-
rinning; thtdo *and being situated in the County of
Pulaski and State of Arkansas
All lands described in the original petition are hereby
annexed to and Accepted es, and made a part and parcel of the
City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, and the inhabitants residing
therein shall have and enjoy all the rights and privileges of
the inhabitants of the original limits of, the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas.
Section 2. The ebove described lands are hereby assigned
to and become a part of Ward Three (3) of the City of Jacksonville,
Pulaski County, Arkansas.
Section 3. Whereas, the peace, health and safety facilities are
drastically needed in the above described area, and Whereas,
these servise cannot be rendered until this ordinance goes
into full force and effect, and this ordinance being necessary
for the preservation of the peace, health and safty of the
+dabitants of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas and those

this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from Sifter
