93 JUNE 14.docCITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING JUNE 14, 1993 7:00 P.M. - 7.10 P.M. OPENING REMARKS: ROLL CALL: Commissioners: Rudy Reid, Connie Foster, Jim Dornblaser, Art Brannen, Tad Green, Paul Payne, Jack Patton answered ROLL CALL. Chairman Gray and Lester Piggee were absent, Acting Chairman Brannen declared a quorum. PRESENT SEVEN (7), ABSENT (2). Others in attendance for the meeting were City Attorney Robert E. Bamburg, City Engineer Duane Reel, Deputy City Clerk Susan Goings, Receptionist of the Engineering Department Terry Hartly, Mr. Tommy Bond of Bond Engineering and Mrs. Bond. APPROVAL AND/OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES: City Clerk Lu Leonard announced a correction on page one, under deviation of agenda in paragraph two of the May 10, 1993 minutes, Commissioner Brannen's name appears as Chairman Brannen. Commissioner Foster moved, seconded by Commissioner Patton that the minutes of the May 10, 1993 Regular Planning Commission Meeting be APPROVED with noted correction as stated above. MOTION CARRIED. REQUEST TO SET UP PUBLIC HEARINGS: It was noted by Acting Chairman Brannen that there were no request to set up public hearings. REQUEST TO APPROVE BUILDING PERMITS: It was noted by Acting Chairman Brannen that there were no requests to approve building permits. REQUEST TO APPROVE PLATS: FINAL PLAT/FOXWOOD SUBDIVISION PHASE IX Mr. Tommy Bond related that final acceptance of water and sewer has not been received but is expected within the month. He further related his desire to have the final plat approved contingent of the approval from water and sewer. He stated that the work on the water and sewer is completed. In response to a question Mr. Bond related that lot 405, 407, 408, and 409 are located at the edge of the flood plain. City Engineer Duane Reel related that it is not uncommon for the planning commission to approve a plat upon the contingent stated above. He further related that in regard to the lots as being close to the flood plane, as a buyer information service they should be designated as such. Which informs the buyer that flood insurance will be expected if the lot is purchased. CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS REGULAR PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING JUNE 14, 1993 7:00 P.M. - 7.10 P.M. Commissioner Dornblaser moved, seconded by Commissioner Patton that the final plat of Foxwood Subdivision Phase IX be APPROVED with stipulation that all utilities be approved and that lots 405, 407, 408, and 409 be designated as being in the flood plain. MOTION CARRIED. DEVIATION IN AGENDA: Acting Chairman Brannen introduced the re-plat of lots 7 and 8 of the Sandalwood Business Park as the item of business. City Engineer Reel related that the re-plat was mostly a staff matter, adding that the lots in question would be increased in size by 32 feet in width, which encompasses 30 feet of an un-plated area on the sketch plat. He stated that a street has been built in front of the lots. He further related the desire by Chairman Gray to inform the Commission of the re-plat and lot size increases. RESUME AGENDA: UPDATE ITEM/CLERK'S OFFICE Jacksonville Municipal Code Book Update Acting Chairman Brannen related that the updates have been received and each Commissioner should update the Jacksonville Municipal Code Book issued.
