SPECIAL MEETING COMMISSION MEETING
MARCH 19, 2002
7:00 P.M. – 7:08 P.M.
OPENING REMARKS:
Chairman Brannen opened the meeting at approximately 7:00 p.m. expressing appreciation for those in attendance.
ROLL CALL: Commissioners: Susan Dollar, Chad Young, Bobby Lester, Glen Keaton, Lester Piggee, Tammy Green, and Mark Perry answered ROLL CALL. Chairman Brannen also answered ROLL CALL.
PRESENT seven (7), ABSENT (1).
Others present for the meeting were City Engineer Whisker, Mr. Jim Green, Mr. Tommy Bond, members of the press, interested citizens, and petitioners.
APPROVAL AND/OR CORRECTION OF MINUTES:
PUBLIC HEARING(S):
BUILDING PERMIT(S):
REQUEST TO APPROVE PLAT(S): FINAL PLAT Collenwood PH III
Representative Mr. Bond related that the street has not been completed, but added that Mr. Green has posted a bond for the streets and sidewalks.
City Engineer Whisker related that Mr. Green would need to post for streets and sidewalks before the Plat is sent to the City Council for Final Approval. He stated that any motion from
the Planning Commission to approve would need to stipulate that the streets be completed or have approval from the City Engineer before being forwarded to the City Council. He stated
that other aspects have been worked out, adding that street completion has been delayed because of the recent bad weather. He then answered that the water and sewer have been approved.
Commissioner Lester moved, seconded by Commissioner Piggee to approve the Final Plat of Collenwood PH III contingent upon street completion and/or the City Engineer approval before being
forwarded to City Council. MOTION CARRIED.
Mr. Green apologized for the necessity of requesting a special meeting.
