AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING AND CONFIRMING ANNEXATION OF
CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY BORDERING THE SOUTH AND WEST
BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY LIMITS OF JACKSONVILLE (COMMONLY
REFERRED TO AS THE LOST CREEK ESTATES ANNEXATION); AND, FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, through Resolution No. 590 (#3 - 06), the Jacksonville City
Council urged the submission and approval of a Petition for Annexation of various
real property located in Lost Creek Subdivision, Jacksonville, commonly referred to
as the Lost Creek Subdivision Annexation; and,
WHEREAS, said Petition for Annexation was filed, Public Notice was duly
published, and a Public Hearing was held on April 11, 2006. Subsequently, County
Judge Floyd G. Villines III entered an Order of Annexation for the following
described property into the City of Jacksonville. Under statute, the City Council
must now confirm and accept said Annexation action by Judge Villines.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:

SECTION ONE: The following described property is hereby annexed and
accepted into the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas:
Property located in the Lost Creek Estates of the City of Jacksonville,
more particularly described as follows:
Part of the NE 1/4 of Section 22, T-3-N, R-ll-W, Pulaski County,
Arkansas, commencing at the NW corner of the NE 1/4 of said Section
22 (also Little Rock Air Force Base Boundary Monument #31), thence
S 880 25' DO" E along the North line of Section 22, 990 feet to the
point of beginning; thence S 880 25' 00" E, 1,650 feet to the
Northeast corner of Section 22, thence S 00' 42' 41" W, 1,278.52 feet
to the North right-of-way line of General Samuels Road; thence along
said right-of-way N 880 28' 32" W 1,650 feet to an iron pipe; thence
N 000 42' 54" E, 1,280.22 feet to the boundary line of the Little Rock
Air Force Base and to the point of beginning, containing 48.46 acres
more or less.
[True and correct renderings of said property reflecting all areas affected by
said Annexation are attached hereto and made a part hereof.]

SECTION TWO: The City hereby declares its intention to extend City
utility services to said areas within a reasonable time frame. Portions of the area
involved are currently under plans to have water and sewer main lines constructed
through the area, and the area will now be served by the Police, Fire, and
Emergency Services Departments. Sanitation services and other City services are
to be extended within a reasonable time frame as service expansion allows.
SECTION THREE: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances and Resolutions
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict.

SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its date
of passage pursuant to and by applicable law.
