ORDINANCE NO. 967 (#6-92)
AN ORDINANCE TO ADOPT A MASTER LAND USE MAP FOR THE CITY OF
JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, land development and use within the city limits
of the City of Jacksonville has a great effect on the overall
development of residential, commercial, and industrial
property throughout the City; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the
existing land use map and, after consultation with Metroplan
officials, unanimously recommends adoption of the attached
Land Use Map to aid in future growth and development of the
City of Jacksonville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:

SECTION ONE: The Land Use Map, developed by MetroplanJ
dated June 1991, as hereby amended, is hereby adopted by City
officials as a reference and guide in consideration for
future development of residential, commercial, and industrial
properties throughout the City of JacksonvilleM Utilization
of said map will aid City officials in providing uniform
development and growth patterns throughout the City and shall
serve to improve the overall continuing growth of the City of
Jaeksonville.
SECTION TWO: All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION THREE: This Ordinance shall be in effect from
and after its date of passage.
