AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 901 AND ADOPTING
A REVISED PERSONNEL MANUAL FOR THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES,
WHEREAS, changing circumstances and laws create the;
necessity for modification of the City's Personnel Manual;
and,
WHEREAS, 11--hrough examination and study by City
officials, Personnel consultants, and legal advisors, the
City Council Proposes the attached Personnel Manual be
adopted and implemented for application to all City personnel
matters.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 1T ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE: Ord 4
amended, corrected. and Lnarice No. 901 t:#2 -BO) shall be
,, Portions deleted to reflect adoption
of the City of Jacksonville Personnel Manual, as revised on
August 1, 1991. A copy of which is attached hereto and made
a part hereof.
SECTION TWO: Any Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
SECTION THREE: Immediate implementation of the terms of
this Ordinance are necessary to the health and welfare of the
citizens because efficient operation and direction of City
employees is vital to service the needs of the citizens of
Jacksonville. Therefore, an emergency is hereby declared and
this Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage
and publication, as provided by and subject to applicable
law.
