ORD INANCE NO. 5 9 3
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXA-
TION TO THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, OR
CERTAIN LANDS IN PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS; DECLAR-
ING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES (GEN. VICINITY/
HIWY 67-167 NEAR STATE HIWY WEIGH STATION/SOUTH OF JCKVL.)
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkasas, on
certain dates reflected upon the minutes of the County Court,
upon the petitions of certain persons owning all of the property
affected, after due notice of said hearing upon said petitions
for the time and in the manner prescribed by law, ordering the
annexation to the City of Jacksonville of those certain lands
hereinafter described and contiguous to the present limits of
the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1: That the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, acting
through its City Council, does hereby approve and accept for
annexation and does hereby make a part of the incorporated area
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, the following described
real property; to-wit:
The North Half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 36,
Township 3 North, Range 11 West.
Section 2: That it is further ordained that the said lands
be and they are hereby assigned and attached to and made a part
of the THIRD Ward of the said City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Section 3: That this ordinance being necessary for the
il111uediate preservation of the public health, safety, welfare and
morale of the citizens of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an
emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
have full force and effect il1111Lediately after its passage.
