AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING CHARGES FOR PRIVATE FIRE SERVICE
CONNECTIONS FOR PRIVATE PREMISES SERVED BY THE CITY OF JACK-
SONVILLE WATER WORKS; ADDING CHAPTER 13.24 TO THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF JACKSONVILLE; AND FOR OTHER PRUPOSES
BE. IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
Section 1: There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of
Jacksonville, Arkansas, Chapter 13.24, which reads as follows:

The following schedule of annual charges for private fire
protection connections shall be paid to the Jacksonville Water
Commission:
Each Automatic Sprinkler System
1,000 Heads or Less,
Subject to a Minimum Charge of
All Additional Heads, Each at

Bills shall be rendered on a semi-annual basis on the first
day of January and July each year for the succeeding six months'
service.
Section 2: That it is hereby ascertained and declared that
the above charges are iUlluediately neces sary for the proper operation,
maintenance, and continued improvement of fire protection facilities
provided by the City of Jacksonville Water Works. It is therefore
declared that an emergency exists and that this Ordinance is
necessary to preserve the public health, safety, and welfare and
shall take effect from and after its passage and approval.
Section 3: All Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
