ORDINANCE NO. 5 8 1
AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY
OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, OF CERTAIN LANDS IN PULASKI COUNTY,
ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
(HIGHWAY 67-167 NORTH/EAST ACCESS ROAD TO COFFELT ROAD).
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, on
certain dates reflected upon the minutes of the County Court,
upon the petitions of certain persons owning the property affected,
after due notice of said hearings upon said petitions for the time
and in the manner prescribed by law, ordering the annexation to the
City of Jacksonville of those certain lands hereinafter described
and continguous to the present limits of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, acting
through its City Council, does hereby approve and accept for
annexation and does hereby make a part of the incorporated area
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, the following described
real property, to-wit:
Part of Section 9, Township 3 North, Range 10 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, being more particularly
described as follows: Beginning at the southeast
corner of the Northwest Quarter (NW%) of Section 9,
Township 3 North, Range 10 West, thence North along
the east line of said NW% of Section 9, 2,640.0 feet
to the northeast corner of said NW% of Section 9,
Township 3 North, Range 10 West; thence continuing
North from the southeast corner of the SW% of Section
4, 1,320.0 feet to the northeast corner of the SE% of
the SW% of said Section 4; thence West along the south
line of the NW% of the SE%, 132.0 feet to the southeast
corner of said NW% of the SE%, thence North along the
east line of said NW% of the SE%, 660.0 feet; thence
West, 210.0 feet; thence North 635.0 feet to the south
right-of-way line of Coffelt Road; thence West along
said south right-of-way line of Coffelt Road, 1,251.0
feet to the east right-of-way of U. S. Highway 67;
thence Southwesterly along said U.S. Highway 67 right-
of-way line, 2,611 feet to the south line of the SW%
of Section 4, Township 3 North, Range 10 West; thence
N 890 45 minutes 6 seconds E, 200.0 feet; thence South
100.0 feet; thence S 890 45 minutes 6 seconds W, 200.0
feet, more or less, to the east right-of-way line of

u.s. Highway 67-167; thence Southwesterly along the
highway right-of-way, 132.0 feet to the south line
of the NE% of the NW% of Section 9, Township 3 North,
Range 10 West; thence continuing Southwesterly along
the u.S. Highway 67 right-of-way, 1,400.0 feet, more
or less, to the south line of the NW% of Section 9,
Township 3 North, Range 10 West; thence East along
the said south line of the NW% to the point of
beginning; containing approximately 99 acres, more
or less.
SECTION 2: That it is further ordained that the said lands
be and they are hereby assigned and attached to and made a part
of the FIRST WARD of the said City of Jacksonville, Arkansas.
SECTION 3: This ordinance being necessary for the ili~ediate
preservation of the public health, safety, welfare and morale of
the citizens of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, an emergency
is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall have full
force and effect iUlluediate1y after its passage.
