AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING CERTAIN TERRITORY AS ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF JACKSON-
VILLE, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. (ADJACENT
TO JACKSON HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION/GENERAL SAMUELS ROAD AREA)
WHEREAS, on November 27, 1979, the Pulaski County Court approved
annexation of the following described lands to the City of Jacksonville,
Pulaski County, Arkansas;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, Tha t:
SECTION 1. That the following described lands are hereby accepted as
annexed to the City of Jacksonville, Pulaski County, Arkansas, to-wit:
That part of the SW~ of the NW~ of Section 22, Township 3
North, Range 11 West, lying North of Bayou Meta AND all
of the NW~ of the NW~ of Section 22, Township 3 North,
Range 11 West, EXCEPT that part thereof lying North and
East of General Samuels Road and East of State Highway No.
107 (No.5), in Pulaski County, Arkansas, and including all
adjoining and abutting streets and rights of way.
SECTION 2. The above described lands shall henceforth be a part of
Ward IV in the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
SECTION 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare of
this community and its citizens; that an emergency is hereby declared and this
ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
