0661 RESOLUTION NO. 661 ( #7 -11)
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT A GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF ARKANSAS TO OBTAIN FUNDS FOR THE
PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OFA PERMANENT GENERATOR FOR THE EAST
SEWER PUMP STATION; AND, FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville Wastewater Utility, having researched the matter,
has identified and prioritized community development and housing needs which require
additional funds for purchase and installation of a permanent generator for the East
Sewer Pump Station to insure no loss of power in inclement weather or other emergency
situations. These additional funds may be available to the City of Jacksonville through
application to the State of Arkansas for an Arkansas Community and Economic
Development Program (ACEDP) grant funds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OFIACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION ONE : The Mayor is hereby authorized to submit a grant
application to the State of Arkansas on behalf of the City of Jacksonville for pursuit of
grant funds to purchase and install a permanent generator for the East Sewer Pump
Station to insure no loss of power in inclement weather or other emergency situations.
111 SEC770N TWO: Any and all other Resolutions in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed to the extent of said conflict. This Resolution shall be in effect from
and after its date of passage.
