RESOLUTION NO. 280 -81
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS,
REQUESTING THE ARKANSAS PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION NOT TO RAISE THE
UTILITY RATES OF PERSONS OVER 65 YEARS OF AGE
WHEREAS, The Present cost of utilities is exorbitant; and
WHEREAS, The majority of persons over the age of 65 years is
supported by Social Security and as such their income is fixed;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of Jacksonville
goes on record requesting the Arkansas Public Service Commission not to
raise the utility rates of persons over the age of 65 years.
AND, BE IT RESOLVED, that a copy of the Resolution be placed in
the permanent records of the minutes of the City Council of Jacksonville,
Arkansas.
