RESOLUTION NO. 279 -81
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, STATING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL IS FOR THE ELECTION
OF THE MEMBERS OF THE ARKANSAS PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville City Council makes every ef-
fort to be responsive to the will and needs of its citizens;
and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Jacksonville are concerned
about the rapidly rising utility rates; and
WHEREAS, the Jacksonville City Council hereby voices
its opinion that the Arkansas Public Service Commission
members should also be responsive to the needs of communities
such as Jacksonville;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
Jacksonville is for the election of the members of the Arkansas
Public Service Commission.
AND, BE IT RESOLVED, that a copy of the Resolution be placed
in the permanent records of the minutes of the City Council of
Jacksonville, Arkansas.
