AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE EXPENDITURE FOR AND THE DUTIES OF THE CITY ENGINEER
OF JACKSONVILLE, AMENDING ORDINANCE 158 AND SECTION 2.16.010 AND 2.16.030
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF JACKSONVILLE, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS,
THAT:
SECTION 1. Ordinance Number 158 and Sections 2.16.010 and 2.16.030 of
the Jacksonville Municipal Code are amended to read as follows:
2.16.010 Equipment and assistance to be provided--
Expenditures
A vehicle and necessary expenses in maintaining and operating such
vehicle, together with all equipment, tools, instruments, secretarial assist-
ance and office space as is necessary for the performance of the duties pre-
scribed hereinafter, to be used by the city engineer and/or his department
shall be provided by and owned by the city.
2.16.030 Duties
(ADD) J. He shall supervise the Street and Inspection Departments
and any special projects entertained by the city council
shall come under his jurisdiction and he shall be re-
sponsible for reporting to the mayor.
SECTION 2. All ordinances before mentioned are hereby repealed to the
extent of such conflict.
