AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PRIVILEGE FEE ON AMUSEMENT GAMES AND
VENDORS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The Municipal Code of Jacksonville, Arkansas
shall be amended by adding a section to Chapter 5, Business
Licenses and Regulations, said new section shall be numbered
and shall read as follows:

5.36.01 Annual Fee Required. Any person, firm or corpora-
tion owning, operating, keeping and maintaining within the
corporate limits of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, any coin
operated amusement device of any kind or character shall pay to
the City of Jacksonville an annual privilege fee of $5.00 for
each such machines so operated.
5.36.02 Procedure. Payment of said privilege fee shall be
made to the City Treasurer who shall issue receipts therefore,
which receipts shall be presented to the Clerk who shall issue
such licenses in accordance with the terms of said receipts.
Funds received shall go to Parks and Recreation General Fund
Bu.dget.
5.36.03 Display of License. Said license so issued shall
be displayed within the premises operating such machines and
shall be subject to inspection at all times.
5.36.04 Penalty. Any person, firm or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction,
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be
fined any sum not less than $10.00 nor more than $25.00, and each
day of such violation shall constitute a separate offense.
5.36.05 Payable on January 1st. Privilege fees hereunder
shall be due and payable on January 1st of each year, effective
January 1, 1984.
SECTION 2: All ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance
are hereby repealed to the extent of such conflict.
