AN ORDINANCE INCREASING THE PRESUMED VALUE PER SQUARE FOOT OF
NEW CONSTRUCTION, AMENDING THE ELECTRICAL CODE, INCREASING THE
PERMIT INSPECTION FEE AND AMENDING JACKSONVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTIONS 16.04.060, 16.08.410 AND 16.08.580; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: Part of Ordinance No. 388, Sections 1 and 2,
Ordinance No. 218, Section 3, which amended Ordinance No. 159,
Section 3 codified as 16.04.060(C) is hereby amended as follows:
16.04.060 Building Permit Fees.
C. In cases where differences of opinion arise between
the builders and the city engineer, all construction
shall be presumed to be of the value of twenty-seven
dollars per square foot of the area covered by the
floor pIan, which shall include such accessories as
carports, garages, storage rooms, porches and steps,
until final inspection proves 'to the contrary.
SECTION 2: Part of Ordinance No. 201, Section 16(0),
codified as 16.08.410 is hereby amended as follows:
16.08.410 Multiple Meter Installations and Service Switch
Banks.
All multiple meter installations or service switch banks
of more than six shall be protected by a main service fused
switch or breaker. The main switch or breaker shal1 be of
the approved type.
SECTION 3: Part of Ordinance No. 201, Section 17(d) and (e),
codified as 16.08.580 is hereby amended by adding Subsection F
as follows:
16.08.580 Permit Applications - Fee Schedule.
F. In addition to the above charges, there shall be a
$5.00 inspection fee per inspection. Said fee is to
be added onto the permit fee prior to the permit
being issued.
SECTION 4: All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
