AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE ANNEXATION TO THE
CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS, OF CERTAIN LANDS IN PULASKI
COUNTY, ARKANSAS; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
(GEN. VICINITY: LOOP ROAD)
WHEREAS, the County Court of Pulaski County, Arkansas, on
February 8, 1983, approved an Order, upon the petitions of
certain persons owning all of the property affected, after
due notice of hearing upon the petitions for the time and in
the manner prescribed by law, ordering the annexation to the
City of Jacksonville of those certain lands hereinafter described
and contiguous to the present limits of the City of Jacksonville,
Arkansas:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: That the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, acting
through its City Council, does hereby approve and accept for
annexation and does hereby make a part of the incorporated area
of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas, the following described
real property, to-wit:
Part of the N% of the NW\, Section 28, Township 3 North,
Range 10 West, in Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particu-
larly described as follows, to-wit: The East 4 acres of the
following described tract, beginning at a point 26.7 rods
(440.55 feet) South of the m~ corner of said Section 28;
run thence East 63.5 rods (1047.75 feet); thence South
12.6 rods (207.9 feet); thence West 63.5 rods (1047.75
feet) to the West line of said Section 28; thence North
along the West line of said Section 28, 12.6 rods (207.9
feet) to the point of beginning, containing 5 acres, more
or less.
SECTION 2: That it is further ordained that the said lands
be and they are hereby assigned and attached to and made a part
of the 1st Ward of the said City of Jacksonville, Arkansas and
zoned R-Q ~
SECTION 3: That this ordinance being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health, safety, and welfare
and morale of the citizens of the City of Jacksonville, Arkansas,
an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall
have full force and effect immediately after its passage.
