RESOLUTION OF CITY COUNCIL, AJCKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS,
EXPRESSING CONDOLENCES ON THE DEATH OF MR. PAUL R.
EXCELL, VICE CHAIRMAN IN CHARGE OF PARKS, PARKS &
RECREATION COMMISSION, CITY OF JACKSONVILLE,
ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas notes with sadness the death
on February 5, 1976 of Paul R. Excell, Vice Chairman
in charge of Parks, Parks & Recreation Commission,
from January, 1972 to February 5, 1976; and
WHEREAS, ARKANSAS, PULASKI COUNTY, and
JACKSONVILLE, itself are the poorer for the passing of
Mr. Excell and the loss of his personal leadership will
be felt throughout the community. He lives, however, as
an inspiration and an inspiring example to our youth and
to all those who shared hsi views; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of
Jacksonville, Arkansas therefore, commemorates his memory
and extends to hsi widow and family the personal con-
dolences of the City Council and the citizens of this
community and direct that copies of this REsolution be
delivered to the family of Mr. Excell and inscribed in
the minutes of the City council meeting on the 4th day of
March, 1976.
