RESOLUTION NO. 3 3 4 ( #21 -84)
RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING TO THE PULASKI COUNTY SPECIAL SCHOOL
DISTRICT TO RENAME REDMOND FIELD TO THE BOB HILL MEMORIAL
STADIUM.
WHEREAS, the current football stadium for Northside and
Southside Junior High Schools in Jacksonville is named Redmond
Field; and
WHEREAS, Bob Hill served the City of Jacksonville as
an alderman and as a City employee fora number of years; and
WHEREAS, that Bob Hill gave numerous hours of ded-
cated service to the City of Jacksonville, specifically to
the youth of the City of Jacksonville; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Jacksonville
and the residents of the City of Jacksonville wish to honor
the memory of Bob Hill;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, ARKANSAS:
1. That we hereby urge and request the Pulaski County
Special School District to rename Redmond Field to the Bob
Hill Memorial Stadium.
2. That we request said action be taken as soon as
possible in memory of Bob Hill.
THIS RESOLUTION HAVING BEEN ADOPTED THIS 20TH DAY OF
DECEMBER, 1984.
